Our assignment for Layout was to create a scene at twilight with two kids dressed up as trick-or-treaters. We weren't supposed to use shadows, only hues and colors.

Here's one of the shots from my film for layout class.

I'd like the backgrounds for my film to be vector shapes instead of actual detailed structures. In a nutshell, my film is about a homeless guy and his dog. I finished the rough animatic yesterday, once it's cleaned up I'll upload it for critique. =)

2nd Year Film Idea

I'm proud to say that I have finally settled on an idea for my final film this year. =) It includes a homeless guy (the design I posted earlier in this blog, except he's a little more rounded for animation). Up until this point I only had the character design running around in my head and was trying to come up with a good story for him.

I may be uploaded beat boards here soon. Otherwise I'll be boarding everything out this weekend and possibly even setting up an animatic to be uploaded to my YouTube channel. Once it's uploaded, feel free to critique! I need as much feedback as possible before I start animation. If I'm lucky I'll be able to start animating in November. =)

Also, the podcast- soon. You guys have been patient and I really thank you for that. Very soon it should be up, especially now that things are finally getting out of the "back to school" setting and more into "let's do some drawing".

Here's something I did for layout class for my film. It's all I've got that's digital at the moment but like I said beat boards will come soon.
